McDonald's franchisees say all-day breakfast is a disaster
Daily Mail ^ | 10/15/15 | Regina Graham

Since McDonald's launched an all-day breakfast menu last week, a number of their franchisees are not 'lovin' it' and say it has been a nightmare. Franchisees say that serving breakfast all-day has slowed down service, lowered average bills and sparked utter chaos in the restaurant giant's kitchens.

Twenty-nine operators overseeing 226 different locations in the US were surveyed by Mark Kalinowski, an analyst for the Japanese finance company Nomura. He found that since the new menu items were added last Tuesday, many of the franchisees were struggling.

'In small stores, the problems are vast with people falling over each other and equipment jammed in everywhere,' one franchisee wrote in response to Kalinowski's survey. Another said: 'Customers are abandoning us in droves because we are either too slow, or sub-par quality.'

Some restaurant owners also said the launch has forced them to hire more employees, which has increased costs.

What’s a “commercial”?

I haven’t watched TV in so long....

Awwww, c’mon; the Alka Seltzer advert with the guy sitting on a stool talking to his stomach sitting on the opposite stool was adorable.

I specifically avoid products who’s adverts have the “stoopit” daddy-white male character — near all of them nowadays.

(Darn, I think I just carbon-dated myself.)

No Coke, Pepsi.

You must go to different ones than I did. I gave up on IHOP and Dennys due to long waits for food.

#36 I had the breakfast platter at Jack in the Box today.
The sausage tasted like the soap they used to clean the griddle. It was on top of the hash brown which turned to mush. The scrambled eggs were dry. Only the bacon tasted like bacon.
McDonalds Big Breakfast is too small but at least it does not taste like soap...

Absolutely. I am not much for breakfast foods, but I do love a morning cheeseburger.

Not getting either from McDonald’s because I think the quality of everything they serve has gone so far downhill.

Sounds you got one of those meals I get when I end up in the hospital.

Poor management, some one needs to teach them how to wash and rinse grills, and all utensils. Depends on where in Memphis you stop, what kind of crap you get. Thankfully I don’t get that far from Atoka most of the time.

I like Cracker Barrel better.

I eat children’s, or Seniors meals. IHOP is where we end up for breakfast the most often after a doctors visit as we have to go fasting. I need the coffee to push the pain meds into the system faster. Just went through the Cardio work up from H and they sent me home so dehydrated I needed an IV. We stopped as Shoney’s and had their $5 breakfast and I downed water and coffee more than food.

You have to stretch the definition of "burger" a little bit but I've frequented this place at odd hours.

You might want to keep an eye out for these guys:

I’m eating hotcakes, two hash browns and a free soft drink (had coupon) as we speak and they’re fine. In fact, had no problems the six or seven times I’ve had breakfast in the evening.

14 menu items fast food workers confess they would never order
http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/03/07/14-menu-items-fast-food-workers-confess-would-never-order/

Sample: “Worked at KFC for ~4 years. The BBQ sandwich is actually made from chicken too old and stale to give to the homeless shelters, so they soak it in BBQ sauce until it can be pulled and then they keep it on the heater for a month. I still order it though.”

I always suspected the “Famous Bowls” were just a way to use what was left in the chafing dishes at the end of the previous day.

I want to be able to buy a burger and fries at 9:30 a.m.

Wendy's serves burgers from the time they open. They have no breakfast menu.

Now I know why my bowels explode when I eat at KFC. (Haven’t for probably 20 years now)

I only have one problem with IHOP: they don’t use real maple syrup. If they did that, even if they charged extra for the real stuff...I’d go there much more often, and pay the extra.

Here on Long Island, some diners have notes on the menus telling customers that “pancake syrup” (corn syrup) will be served, but for an extra $1.25, you can get the real maple syrup. I pay.

I have been considering bringing my own to IHOP, but I never seem to think of it when I’m in the mood for a short stack.

Regards,
