Yup IHOP prices have been going up (omelette with three buttermilk pancakes, coffee etc)

When traveling I have gone to (none of these are in my area, Boston):

Bob Evans—not too bad

Waffle House—OK but can seem slightly overpriced

Eat n Park—OH, WV, PA, breakfast buffet

IHOP has always been grossly overpriced for what they deliver, but they have their devotees anyway.

We use IHop a lot when hubby has to take me for morning medical appointments as they serve breakfast all day, but what I find is that most of them don't know how to cook eggs properly and use left over morning bacon or sausage that taste funny. What is so hard about a over medium egg to cook if you are cooking them every day especially?

This is my reason I don't use McD's.

I only have one problem with IHOP: they don’t use real maple syrup. If they did that, even if they charged extra for the real stuff...I’d go there much more often, and pay the extra.

Here on Long Island, some diners have notes on the menus telling customers that “pancake syrup” (corn syrup) will be served, but for an extra $1.25, you can get the real maple syrup. I pay.

I have been considering bringing my own to IHOP, but I never seem to think of it when I’m in the mood for a short stack.

Regards,
