Several years ago I attended a Conservative conference in DC. She was right ahead of me in the registration line. I'd never heard of her before that, but we had an interesting conversation while the line slowly crept forward. I enjoyed hearing her talk later. Now, of course, I know who she is. More power to her.

Your story struck a chord with me! I also met her at a conference (maybe the same one you were at). She was sitting with a group of people, one of whom was a friend of mine. Friend waved me over and introduced me to her. When I left, I stuck out my hand and told her what a pleasure it was to have met her. She looked at my hand and said "What? No hug?" LOL. I complied. What a friendly sweet lady she is.
