Oops, maybe I didn’t say it right.
I was thinking Obama would want to exchange 5 Guantanamo bad guys for an ambassador. Seems like a more legitimate trade. Actually, Obama was hoping to be a hero in getting Stevens back.
But he had to settle for a guy that later was found to be a deserter. No hero for Obama in this case.

that's the only plausible theory IMHO.... after listening to the hearings and the security guys...they were stunned and befuddled by the lack of response from State...those guys were career professionals....although they couldn't say it out right..they left a pretty damned good trail to the answers
