Stephen Harper, the only leader the Conservative Party of Canada has ever known, is stepping down.
It just isn't clear when.
Conservative Party president John Walsh made the announcement in a media release Monday night, shortly after Justin Trudeau's Liberals captured a stunning majority government.
"I have spoken to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and he has instructed me to reach out to the newly elected parliamentary caucus to appoint an Interim Leader and to the National Council to implement the leadership selection process pursuant to the Conservative Party of Canada constitution," Walsh said in the release.

It may be time for Westerners to rekindle the idea of ‘Cascadia’. As much as I am a Monarchist, what Ontario has done to Canada, yet again, I could easily become a republican, as in, the Republic of Cascadia’!
The Canada I loved, was proud of, and grew up in, is history. Turd-owe’s father started immigration into Canada from turd-world (and third-world) hellholes, to prop up the Lieberals. Most have settled in Tranna and the GTA. Just look at the election maps! Almost solid red in the GTA!
The good news is that a terrorist attack by some of the 100,000 ‘Syrian refugees’ that Turd-owe says he will import, would be bound to hit the GTA, as it is the largest metro area in Canada and third or fourth largest, I believe, in North America. Unfortunately, irony would be lost on the lefties and immigrants that vote Turd-owe in.
Poo-dough Jr. has won a majority. Tories and the NPD swine both lose 50+ seats.
The QB separatists gained some seats but remain small and their leader, PePe Lew Pew, failed to win.
Lib Majority means a stable government and no chance for an early election (unless Jr. calls one cause he’s riding high and thinks he’ll gain a bunch of seats). So Canada is looking at at least 4 years of this bag of pus.

Too bad. He’s the best PM Canada has had in a long time.
“Stuff happens” is one way to put it when one is emotional like some football fans over their favorite team, but those of us who see a Uniparty world of fake “Left” and “Right” parties in the various nations (including Canada) can take this in stride, realizing bad things would happen regardless of who won the election, particularly in the area of government spending and debt.
The nations of the world keep running up their tabs to the financial services industry like credit card customers do.
Deeper in the hole they go forced to make bigger loan service payments (”credit card payments”) to the bankers, meaning the Uniparties of the Western nations have to raise taxes and cut services causing people on both Left and Right to be angry and in some cases to figure out they are being had and getting the shaft.
The governments of the Western nations are steadily being collapsed financially. The only question is when the end comes.
Curious, why were Canadians so unhappy with Harper and the conservatives? From over here it seemed like he was doing a good job.
When the end DOES come, I wonder if it will start a world war?

Canada has not seen worse than we have but they do have an advantage, they have seen just how depraved a nation can get by watching us “FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE”.
