LISTEN: Levin blasts G.W. Bush for Attacking Ted Cruz
Conservative Review ^ | October 20, 2015 | CR Wire

Posted on 10/20/2015 7:19:32 AM PDT by sheikdetailfeather

Over the weekend former President George W. Bush lit into Senator Ted Cruz at a private fundraiser for his brother Jeb! Although this was a private event, it appears the Bush campaign made sure that Politico got the story so that it could become a story. CR Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin returned the favor last night to Bush, as he tore into him on his radio show for withholding fire on Obama but attacking Senator Cruz. -

Levin reminded the audience that the Bush family has a long history of attacking principled conservatives. That it was Bush the elder who attacked Reagan, and his policies throughout the 1980 primary campaign for the presidency.

Mark Levin did a good job last night exposing Bush for not speaking out against Obama and others he should have but now he is speaking out against Cruz. Mark said they are after Cruz and Trump.

Very disappointed in President Bush here. I understand and respect his desire to support his brother. However, this was just a crass attack that violates the Reagan commandment. I really thought W had more personal integrity and class than this.

This same George W Bush who chose to “rise above it” and let the ‘rats get away with every smear and deranged assassination fantasy and outright lies about himself (Dan Rather, etc), but attacks Cruz who has never attacked him, because Cruz is a true conservative.

All the Bushies do this. Let’s not forget mama Bush saying in 2010 that she hoped Palin stayed in Alaska. Never a bad word about Obama, but they could sure pile on Palin.

Why are we surprised. Bush was not conservative.
His spending was off the chart. Also, he made a rookie move
In Iraq.

At least, unlike President Evil, I had some respect for W as a man. I felt his mistakes were honest.

Now I just think he’s just a better-packaged McConnell with a Texas accent.

He’s silent about ISIS.He’s silent about Obama. But he smears Cruz. Truly pathetic. --- History shows GWB has been TOTALLY SILENT on Obama and the lawlessness of the left. Typical Bush family. They are really showing their hand now, even to the low-information voter.

Cruz gives the same degree of thought as Trump does before he mouths off.

I don’t remember W ever speaking out about not liking Obama. When we needed him to he didn’t.

Now, he chooses Cruz.

Democrats and Republicans have gotten away from the US Constitution and that’s why they hate Cruz.

Levin summed up Bush’s choice to attack Cruz,

“George W. Bush finally pops up, finally speaks out, not in defense of the soldiers in the Middle East, not in defense – like Dick Cheney out there – defending his own policies, not in attacking Obama or how dare he attack the Clinton’s – friends of the family, no! - attacking Ted Cruz, the same way this family attacked Ronald Reagan.”

He’s silent about ISIS.He’s silent about Obama. But he smears Cruz. Truly pathetic.

And he's also smeared all the (us) "nativists, Isolationists, etc.), all those "isms", who disagreed with his open borders and amnesty policies.

"W" really does not understand the game, the players, or what America is really all about. The sad truth is that neither of the Bush brothers is as intelligent as their father--who may have been a Republican Liberal, but at least a mentally competent one.

To understand George W. Bush, you must look at those he trusted for advice--such as Karl Rove (a huge memory but no analytic ability.) Or consider the speech writer who wrote his frankly childish Second Inaugural Address (George Washington vs. George W. Bush).
