You could buy a plantation with the worth of your homes and move your entire extended family.

> We just left Washington state - in time to avoid the coming GPS they want to put in every vehicle to tax mileage.

i think its time...time to drag that POS who sponsored that piece of legislation to bleed people 's wallets into the streets, load his his cronies and donors wallets full of cash, and beat him to a pulp after you level his house and eveything in it. No more of this MFBS. No more.

If the voters of Washington State reelect Jay Inslee, who is a nut job on CO2 and automobiles, they will prove to be total dupes. Washington State had one of the worst fire season last summer it ever had. More CO2 poured into the atmosphere from these fires than all of the cars in the state for one year. I suppose California’s fires put out more CO2 then all of the cars in the nation. And these sissy pants Bay Area politicos think they are going to make a difference getting rid of wood stoves? They have got these stoves so efficient that they hardly put out any offensive smoke.

I knew environmentalists hated all modern technology, but I didn't realize how far back in time that extended.

Head line should be, “Democrat’s ban backup heating devices for next regional disaster”

Nathan Bedford's fourth Maxim: liberty is inversely correlated to population density; liberty is inversely correlated to population growth.

While this restriction on liberty is not exclusively related to population density in the San Francisco area, it is true to say that it could not or would not have occurred absent such population density. In addition to the inevitable shrinkage of liberty with density, we have the undeniable nuttiness of the San Francisco area and the clinically definable obsession with the environment.

This law, incidentally, will outlaw rocket stoves which seemed to offer an enormous amount of heat from wood with extraordinarily low amounts of particulate or gas emissions. Whatever advantages the rocket stove offers the environment are to be swept away with his mania born on a wave of population growth.

I would think the hippies there would be all for consuming organic material in a series of small fires.

If I remember correct, from a trip their years ago, their isn't much in the way of lawns in San Fransisco. However, those that might have a lawn and a lawn service to take care of it probably still using 2 stroke weed-wackers and or 2 stroke chainsaws to trim dead branches and they haven't been outlawed yet. These engines put out more pollution than any other device period but not a word about them. Granted a new generation of these engines that have adopted technologies such as "stratified charging" that reduce pollution dramatically, but that doesn't mean a given service has purchased these new products and are using them with to provide their services.

They can’t tax wood heat or control it. I think this is the reason they do this stuff. It is all about control.

A couple of years ago, I heard Michael Savage really going off on all the wood burning fireplaces in S.F. and how much he hated them.

...whining like some greenie-weenie about the smell and smoke and trees.

I’ve been to the Seattle area numerous times. In fact, I’ll be there for a couple of weeks shortly.

Do not kid yourself. The whole area is infested with Leftist environmentalists as seriously deranged as any Bay Area tree-hugger.

It’s only a matter of time before those same laws show up in Washington.

Good luck. I wish there was a way out for you. I love it up there, except for the idiots...

Shouldn’t wee all Get behind this measure and support it whole heartedly? I think so. So much that I believe to confirm our commitment to “Saving the Planet” we need to make it a FELONY, Punishable by 10 years in PRISON for ANY person that can be classified as a “Public Employee” to Use ANY TYPE of Heating Device that BURNS Vegetation or Organic Matter of any kind.

Show me this Law, put your money where your mouth is.
