Carson In 1999: White People “Have No Grasp” On History Of Racial Violence In U.S
BuzzFeed ^

Posted on 10/25/2015 11:35:04 AM PDT by TigerClaws

In his 1999 book, Dr. Ben Carson wrote that our nation’s history on racial injustices made it impossible for the black community to think of the judicial system in anything but racial terms and that white Americans were only able to view racial violence in a modern context.

In his book, The Big Picture, released by Zondervan, Carson argued white Americans had “no grasp on the history of racial violence in this country.” Carson wrote of a time his mother was thrown in jail for a minor traffic violation as an example of personal history of the racial injustice in criminal justice system.

IMO with his interface with Sharpton and Farakkan coupled with his previous affiliation with the demoncrat party ... I have very deep doubts about Dr Carson's alledged conservatism .

I would not be the least surprised that he would be a liberal demoncrat wolf in conservative sheeps clothing. The Trojan horse comes to mind

Who's digging up the dirt? We know it's not Trump - he owns his criticisms. I have to assume this is jebbie or Hillary - masters of the filth campaigns where minions do the dirty work and they ‘appear’ clean.

Course with Buzz, we know it's filthy lying Democrats..

Good article. He seems like a very reasoned thinker. Thanks for posting.

We must "Grasp" the history of black folk for the 10 millionth time while a man who's half black sits in the Oval Office?

See ya Ben!

I agree with you. Something with the eyes that really bothers me...And combine it with his tone....it sounds like a recording...not live at all.

I’m white and absolutely nobody in my family would challenge a police officer as, apparently, Carson’s mother did.

As to the cousins, their “some minor infraction” must have sounded better than what the actual offense was—or Carson would have remembered and shared it. The cousin admitted “protesting”, but we’re to take it that the officer(s) wasn’t simply defending himself in the altercation.

I’m not saying that there isn’t police abuse and that at least historically it wasn’t sometimes racial. But these are the sort of grey-area, at least, anecdotes that fuel black self-righteousness but are received by others with legitimate skepticism.

Especially since he never ever bothered to register as a Republican until he decided to run for president.

Keep talking Ben. Oh and just a little FYI for you, white folks dont want to hear black folks say “white people” any more than black folks want to hear white folks say “black people”. That tip is on the house, no charge.

What all America needs to focus on is the outrageous, unprovoked, unwarranted, indefensibly brutally violent attacks on innocent white folk and black folk by blacks themselves.

Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.

The irony is that White People today have no idea how much racial violence is being directed AT THEM thanks to a complicit MSM.

We have the same goal?

What's that, lining your own pockets?

Ben, do you also think it's okay to blackmail businesses and entities so they will pay protection money to you?.

Wow, he clearly doesn't see Sharpton for who he is.

Trump also glad handed Sharpton though. He did so to use him as a contact to Don King. This made Trump's enterprises tens of millions of dollars as they promoted fights and the profits made off them.

Did Trump see Sharpton as the political charlatan he was? I don't know. He wasn't there to support Sharpton. He was there to support his businesses.

It's more than a little weird that pundits and other candidates question Trump's ability to be Commander in Chief, but not Dr. Carson's. Is there any evidence at all that Carson knows anything about strategy or the military?

Trump does. He'd also be good at letting the best Generals make decisions.

If this applies to Carson today, then Donald Trump is still a Democrat who wants socialized medicine and open borders.

I have a lot more reason to believe Carson has changed than an employer of hordes of busboys, maids, groundskeepers, and construction laborers.
