I caught his hand and cocked the gun and managed to shoot several bullets into him. I think the Israeli policy of carrying in Condition 3 is absolutely insane. I have military and LE experience and we always carry with one in the chamber. I don't know of any LE agency in Alaska that doesn't carry that way. It's also the way I carry any personal firearm. As the violence in Israel escalates, I have to wonder if they're going to rethink that policy.

Despite being wounded and in a state of shock, Ben-Aharon then shot the terrorist twice in his leg to prevent him from getting away, before finally escaping and calling police. However, security forces who arrived at the scene found the wounded terrorist had already been spirited away - presumably by the tow truck driver. A finishing shot to the head would have permanently removed him from the fight.
