These men are not women, nor should they be encouraged with their mental illness. We already have homosexuals who have been told they should have a traditional family and think they have no mental illness and we have seen where that has got us today.

This is the result of victimization status / minority status assigning moral weight to various groups. In short, the more exotic you are, the more moral right you are assigned.
There are more feminists than transgenders, therefore, transgender’s feelings trump feminists, just as LBGT trumps the sexual normal population’s opinions.
Feminists just aren’t used to being trumped by crazies who parade the worst stereotypes of women.
