A Syrian man who was suspended from Penn State for violating the student code of conduct last week after a university investigation of sexual assault allegations against him is suing the school.
The 21-year-old engineering student, identified in court filings as John Doe, says Penn State's new model for handling such complaints violated his right to due process.
Doe says the university's decision to suspend him for two semesters has left him at risk of losing his student visa and being deported to his war-torn homeland.
His complaint, filed in federal court in Harrisburg this week, asks for reinstatement as a student, to have his record expunged, that the university's investigative model be ruled unconstitutional and to be awarded monetary damages.

On the other, you have a campus where sex scandals aren't exactly unknown doing exactly what the administration told them to do.
On yet another, you have a drunk chick at a frat party suggesting and getting sex acts from three guys, two of whom don't have their fate mentioned possibly because they weren't "special" and just took their suspension.
Alcohol is known to impair judgement. Sexual arousal is known to impair it even more. Add those factors to a perp who is a Middle Easterner, probably Muslim, and no brain is going to function.
So how do you deal with it?

The problem appears to be that he hasn't been proven to have broken any laws.
Amen. They could make the flood of refugees a whole lot more manageable if they simply excluded all unaccompanied males ages 14-50. Then took a long and hard look at all the rest.

The dilemma here is that colleges have a tendency to assume "male = guilty" in these "violate the campus code of conduct" situations.
Not a problem. He doesn’t have to break any laws to get suspended. Universities can suspend for any variety of reasons. That’s in their code of conduct.
Unis decide who gets suspended.
Had the same thing happen to a classmate when I was at Penn State.
Serviced multiple blokes at a frathouse. Then claimed she was “passed out drunk and was raped” when word got out.
Luckily for him, he got it on video tape. She was very awake and willing on camera. And the girl, her family and everyone else had to watch it in court...

So-called feminists don’t give a crap about rape as long as the rapist is from a preferred group. And you don’t get more preferred than muzzie-brown.
Any judge worth his/salt would throw this out of their court. "...violated his right to due process......" his rights? her rights? She wasn't raised to respect herself and he is living in freedom perhaps for the first time...deal with it Syrian, no one owes you anything...rules are rules.
