DT: Day one. This is why I got into this race. Because the everyday working person in this country is getting screwed. Lobbyists write the rules to benefit the rich and powerful. They buy off Senators like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) to help them get rich at the expense of working Americans by using H-1B visasâso called âhigh techâ visasâto replace American workers in all sorts of solid middle class jobs. If I am President, I will not issue any H-1B visas to companies that replace American workers and my Department of Justice will pursue action against them.
BNN: What do you think of Rubioâs bill?
DT: Itâs a disaster. It would allow any company in America to replace any worker with cheaper foreign labor. It legalizes job theft. It gives companies the legal right to pass over Americans, displace Americans, or directly replace Americans for good-paying middle class jobs. More than 80 percent of these H-1Bs are paid less than the average wage. Senator Rubio works for the lobbyists, not for Americans. That is why he is receiving more money from Silicon Valley than any other candidate in this race. He is their puppet.
BNN: Do you think agree with Senator Rubio that there is a shortage of talented Americans?
DT: Rubio is dead wrong. America produces the best and brightest in the world. Itâs time to stand up for own studentsâmany of whom are racked with terrible, terrible debt and facing a disastrous job market. We are graduating two times more students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) than find jobs in those fields every year. We have a surplus of talented Americans and we need them to get jobs first.

Another fallacy of too few alternatives.
There are better, more articulate men and women at FR who DISprove your points 24/7!
He has covered this many times. He's AGAINST Zuckerburg/Disney style abuse of the program used to displace American workers.
He's FOR conditional use of the H-1b program, allowing foreign students who have earned degrees to stay in the country post grad, and pro LEGAL immigration. All good as long as it benefits American citizens.
See, that's not too difficult to understand.
It’s the only one that matters to you too, Ace. Job growth, crime and punishment, education, health and human services, epidemiology and disease control, intellectual property law, rule of law, national security, espionage, interstate commerce, all of it tied to immigration.
A country is defined as a set of borders that can be defended by the people living within those borders from the people living outside of them. Without an immigration policy, you don’t have a country.
The small piece of the large pie is gay rights, abortion, the VA, flag burning, whether Obola is a foreign agent, Hillary, the Iran deal. All of it together doesn’t matter if there isn’t a country it matters to any more.
Forcing a town of 60 to take 1500 refugees is just a small example. Sanctuary cities are a larger one.
That "only issue" directly impacts every single other area. We keep running in circles trying to repair the damage from that cancer but have never removed it's multiplier. There is no other issue this time around.
The most frustrating thing about Cruz is that he’s clearly the brightest guy to run for President, possibly since Jefferson. He can’t see what the H1-B program is doing to the middle class? On this one issue he has a complete blindspot?
He’s bought and paid for on this somehow. No way in his heart of hearts Cruz believes you can’t find qualified labor in the US, but you can find loads of it in India.
It’s so intellectually inconsistent for a man with his obvious intelligence that it causes me to distrust him more than Trump. That’s always the comeback on Trump - I don’t trust him because he’s been a squish on other conservative issues.
I don’t dispute that, and I have a certain level of distrust of Trump too. However, he’s come out very forcefully on immigration and explains the economic and legal basis for his stand. Whither Cruz?
Fox should be more gracious to Trump, without him they would have no news.
Uh Oh.....is this the policy difference the junior Senator from TX was talking about? Senator Cruz is on record for pushing to expand cheap foreign workers on H1-B visa five times. DO not take my word for it, just watch this short video of his speech.

Trump wastes no time in straitening out any misconceptions about his immigration policy. That is another reason I like Trump.
Just great and busy. Don’t retire.
Don’t you have anything positive to say about your preferred candidate?
Why you spend so much time disparaging Trump?
Are you under the delusion this helps your candidate?
My biggest concern with Ted Cruz happens to be H1B's. If he could "get right" with that issue I'd give him another look. I really, truly would.
Thanks for the ping! Rita
Your issue is minor.
The “only” issue is the courts.
When that is fixed, the others will fall into place.
It is a side issue.
So much happens in your imagination here; too bad it never happens in HTML.
.
The “courts” ?!? LOL!!!
.
I just knew that voting was way over your head.
Yes, everything that is wrong here is a result of legislation by the courts. There is absolutely nothing that cannot be traced back to that problem.
Thank you for ping! Good to hear :) Will watch!
