“He revealed that the central theme of the conversation was a memorandum of understanding regarding the increase of American military aid to Israel. “We did not focus on an amount...”
That memorandum will languish and not be fulfilled by Obama and since there is no amount in the memorandum, it will be nothing. He will agree to anything just to get Bibi out of his sight and out of the country.
Obama is doing a rope-a-dope right now with Obama in order to keep Israel out of harm’s way until Obama is out of office. He’s playing nice out of necessity for Israel’s survival on the political front, not the Muzzie danger front. He doesn’t want Obama to make a last time push for a rotten Israel-Pali peace deal and push for Palestinian statehood in the U.N., before Obama leaves office.
This may be wishful thinking on Bibi’s part, as Obama and his regime are evil, and I think they will do this anyhow, but Bibi is buying time with Obama to try to stave off this, IMO, inevitable attempt by Obama.
Meanwhile, Obama is concentrating on another of his last gasp attempts to get his full agenda through before he leaves office, and that is to close GITMO. He may succeed, as there is little to block this; unless by some miracle enough spineless Dems votes with Pubs in Congress to block this by an override of Obama’s sure veto of any attempts to stop him.
So, after Obama win’s or loses this battle over GITMO, an Israel-Pali peace agreement will be on the back burner. However, once the GITMO closing attempt is over, the peace agreement will move right on up to the top on Obama’s agenda, and he will once again shove the stiletto in Bibi and Israel’s back one last time, if he can get away with it.
It will be an interesting and most awful to watch scenario to be played out in the waning months of Obama’s regime.
