Not to argue the point- but the following must be taken into consideration- He has not lost yet in getting what he wants-
He pushed for gun control by going through congress- and failed- however, he WILL at some point, order an executive order - citing ‘imminent need’ as his authority to do so- just like they did in NY. Both he and Hillary have seen that NY got away with it without any problem- and now they too are emboldened to go after ‘European style confiscations’ and have boldly declared that that is what they are going to do-
The reason he failed when going through congress is because senators and congress people are too afraid to enact gun control knowing they will be kicked out of office- and rightfully so- however, remember, He is about to leave office- and he very likely WILL order an executive order before he leaves which amounts to strict gun controls, OR to gun confiscation- again, citing ‘imminent need’ as his reason for doing so- The reason he has not done so now is because there is too much time left In his administration
Who’s going to stop him? Congress? The supreme court whom he has in his back pocket?
He lit up our white house with homosexual colors for crying out loud! That was an ultimate middle finger to Christians and to God - knowing that this abomination of homosexuality was now the law of the land- He threw the abomination passage smack in our faces because of his hatred for us

Better translations of Dan 8:24 that get closer to an “Obama” description may be:
“will succeed, and will do whatever he wants” (Dan 8:24 Int’l Std Version).
“shall prosper, and practice” (Dan 8:24 KJV).
And this Bad Guy DOES fail sometimes...
“they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper” (Dan 11:27 (KJV).
BTW, I have no doubt that Obama is NOT this coming Man of Sin. Obama is a preview of coming attractions. However we won’t know who this guy is until we and the Holy Spirit are outta here ( 2 Thess 2:3-8).

In Daniel 8 21-25 I don’t see it mentioned that he will succeed in ‘all’ that he tries to accomplish?

none of those would preclude a person from being an antichrist- Remember, when the antichrist is finally revealed, it’s only afterwards that he is completely taken over by the Evil One

There are those, "who are his", still enthralled by him. Another thing I see are goats and sheep being separated, or wheat and chaff if you like that analogy better - we're certainly being tossed up into the air.
Well, I could cite other failures, if you want to nitpick that one.
For example, his original dream was to get in the NBA and be a professional basketball player, but he couldn’t even get off the bench at the high school level. So he was a failure there too, and there’s no chance he’s going to somehow succeed at that at his age!

1: the verses, as pointed out don’t say AC will be successful at everything
2: The antichrist comes o nthe scene but isn’t empowered by Satan until after I believe- and it will be then that the AC does all the damage, and has his ‘success’ in destroying
There isn’t going to be someone who is born, makes no mistakes throughout life, or has no failures in life, then becomes the AC and continues having nothing but success- And even as AC- whoever it is, will still fail ie: not cause everyone to bow down before the beast-
Trump is a heterosexual pro-lifer - this rules him out as a candidate for the AC.
Yup. I’m sure the speculation will grow right up until Jesus comes and then my guess they (”we”) will have been wrong because the Bad Guy has to be revealed AFTER we and the Holy Spirit are “taken out of the way”. Before we know it, we’ll be in Heaven watching from the Mezzanine as the events of the Great Tribulation unfold.
