Running, riding bikes and even walking had always been a challenge for 11-year-old Bella Burton due to a rare genetic condition she was diagnosed with when she was 2 and a half. But ever since Bella began leaning on George, a 2-year-old Great Dane whom she met about a year ago through a local organization, she has ditched her wheelchair and crutches, and started to do all the things all the other healthy kids her age can with ease, WCVB reported.

I have a 10 lb. Dane who looks a lot like this guy. He's absolutely wonderful. Once again, we have proof "God" is "dog" spelled backwards.

So your dog is more of a Pocket Dane.

They do have a calm demeanor. I feed the squirrels at the local park, and every time a dog comes by, of course they try to chase the squirrels. Well, one guy has a great dane, and he walks him without a leash. The dane came up to see what I was doing with the squirrels, and I said “don’t bother the squirrels” to him... and the great dane actually listened. He hung back behind me and just watched, didn’t chase them at all!
I’ve never seen another dog with that much self control.
