Why 2016 could be shattering for Republicans
The Washington Post ^ | November 13 at 8:30 PM | By Stanley B. Greenberg

Posted on 11/14/2015 9:12:24 AM PST by Mariner

Election Day 2016 will produce a shattering crash larger than anything the pundits anticipate because the revolutionary economic and social changes occurring in the United States have now pushed both the burgeoning new majority and the conservative Republicans’ counterrevolution beyond their tipping points.

The United States is being transformed by revolutions remaking the country at an accelerating and surprising pace. Witness the revolutions in technology, the Internet, big data and energy, though just as important are the tremendous changes taking place in immigration, racial and ethnic diversity, the family, religious observance and gender roles. These are reaching their apexes in the booming metropolitan centers and among millennials.

As the revolutions interact, they are accelerating the emergence of a new America. Consider that nearly 40 percent of New York City’s residents are foreign-born, with Chinese the second-largest group behind Dominicans. The foreign-born make up nearly 40 percent of Los Angeles’s residents and 58 percent of Miami’s. A majority of U.S. households are headed by unmarried people, and, in cities, 40 percent of households include only a single person. Church attendance is in decline, and non-religious seculars now outnumber mainline Protestants. Three-quarters of working-age women are in the labor force, and two-thirds of women are the breadwinners or co-breadwinners of their households. The proportion of racial minorities is approaching 40 percent, but blowing up all projections are the 15 percent of new marriages that are interracial. People are moving from the suburbs to the cities. And in the past five years, two-thirds of millennial college graduates have settled in the 50 largest cities, transforming them.

The left's greatest fear is that White people will begin to vote as a block and that they will actually close the border after expelling the illegals.

We can always hope Truth and Justice will triumph over tribalism and cronyism. I realize that’s hoping for a lot, but you never know.

There is only one thing that will slow down the march of collectivism, and that is the power of self-preservation. Courtesy of ISIS, many people are beginning to understand that their personal safety is not to be taken for granted, and that the collectivists don’t really seem to care about it.

I’m a pessimist, I think we are too far gone, but again, you never know.

Right. If the white turnout in 2016 is percentage wise as much as it was in 2008, the Democrats will lose. None of the demographic trends will lead to the conclusion that this article protects until after 2020.

from Washington Post:

“It is easy to imagine, then, that after the coming shattering election, some Republican leaders will repudiate this campaign’s anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim appeals and actively embrace the United States as an immigrant nation.”

“actively embrace the United States as an immigrant nation” defined as proving you are not racist by surrendering nation to immigrant hordes and allowing it to become a third world hell hole.

Didn't he used to have a restaurant in Casablanca? No, wait, that was Greenstreet.

The 250,000 Middle Eastern refugees Obama wants to bring to the US can be counted on to vote Democrat.

The revolution has already started — witness “Black lives matter” and the unrest on campus. They’re all interrelated. Our diversity, that we like to flaunt as a national asset, is the cause of all that.

Far be it for a leftie to project what they want to happen vs what reality is. The left we KNOW will cheat and there will be 120% turnouts in some districts...the left will assign a qualitative value to this equivalent to what they want not what is real.

This guy is an idiot. There were 28 Democratic governors in the U.S. when Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009. There are now only 18. What happened to this "revolution" among minorities and "Millenials" who are supposed to be dominating the American political scene?

Ironically, the biggest losers in this whole transformation are American-born blacks. Two things that almost every immigrant group in the U.S. have in common are:

1. They are more employable than American blacks.

2. They don't give a sh!t about American blacks.

This will be the legacy of Barack Hussein Obama -- a jug-eared half-breed African/Caucasian.

What the left truly fears is that attraction our form of government and culture has for immigrants. We have liberty.

That voting block doesn’t just include “White” people.

I don't know if this is a reality. But, if it is I blame the country clubbers and their fecklessness, duplicity and their treachery. Along side of them are the masterminds of the media academia and a lot of other places the upper class lib gentrys. I nominate both of them to pay higher taxes. Lets see how they like socialism then.

"defined as proving you are not racist by surrendering nation to immigrant hordes and allowing it to become a third world hell hole."

And the squandering of the greatest Capital Stock the world has ever known. Not to mention the elimination of the Intellectual Stock of Western Civilization.

Perhaps we've come to late to the Cultural Revolution?

Of course not. Western Man has proven himself capable of taking charge of the world as needed. At least for the past 2000 years.

If what this clown writes was an accurate measure of election results, the Republicans would not hold the governorships of 32 states and control 2/3rds of the state legislatures.

Yeah, they believe they can scare people into thinking like the GOPee, but all this article does is makes me chuckle. For example:

Witness the revolutions in technology, the Internet, big data and energy...These are reaching their apexes in the booming metropolitan centers and among millennials.
Trump can get right to those millennials with his tweets and not have to spend a dime on advertising. And the democrats have a group of ancient and un-tech savvy running for president. How is that working out for them?

LOL!
