Obama administration still plans to accept Syrian refugees

The administration is going ahead with its plan to admit thousands of Syrian refugees into the US despite the horrific attack in Paris — where at least one of the attackers is believed to have posed as a Syrian migrant to get into the country.

“We’re still planning to take in Syrian refugees,” White House national Security Adviser Ben Rhodes told “Fox News Sunday.”

Rhodes, who is traveling with President Obama in Turkey, said there would be “very robust vetting” to “sort out that foreign fighter flow.”

Referring to refugees, he said: “They are tragic victims of this conflict. They are women and children and orphans of this war.”

Rhodes said the “careful” vetting would rely on input from “our intelligence community, our national Counterterrorism Center, the Department of Homeland Security, so we can make sure that we’re carefully screening anybody who comes to the United States.”

He made those statements on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

US Rep. Pete King (R-LI), former chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, blasted the move as dangerous.

“There is virtually no vetting because there are no databases in Syria,” he told Fox.

“We don’t know who those people are. … They are rolling the dice here, and we know that ISIS wants to bring in terrorists with these refugees.

Presidential candidate and US Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), added, “The problem is, we can’t background-check them.

“You can’t pick up the phone and call Syria, and that’s one of the reasons why I said we won’t be able to take more refugees,” Rubio said on ABC’s “This Week.”

GOP presidential candidates also went after Hillary Clinton, who during a Democratic debate Saturday night declined to label the fight as one against “Islamic terrorism.”

"We're a compassionate nation and this is a tragic situation but I also have to be concerned as Chairman of Homeland Security about the safety of Americans in this country and the concern that I have and that the FBI testified to is that we don't really have the proper databases on these individuals to vet them passed and to assure we're not allowing terrorists to come into this country and until I have that assurance, I cannot support a program that could potentially bring jihadists into the United States," House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul said a recent interview with Fox News. "We don't know who these people are and I think that's the bottom line here and until we know who they are, we cannot responsibly bring them into the United States."

Obama believes it is America that is the problem in the world, not Islamist Terrorist! That is why Obama and Hitlery cannot even bring themselves to say the words “Islamist Terrorist!”

Both Hitlery and Obama have no trouble calling Americans terrorist or Christian terrorist, but never Islamist terrorist!

This from the London Daily mail's excellent coverage:
"A spokesman for the Croatian interior ministry said: 'There was no record about him at the time of registration and there was no reason for us to stop him. We did not label him as potentially suspicious.' "

That's the kind of excuse we'll being hearing after the next terrorist attack here, as there is no database to check these people against.
