Maybe. There is tremendous downside risk and not much upside benefit to opposing this bill.
Not really... just need 34 folks to hold, Dems have enough safe seats.. the House is an easier win, and they just barely got there. We will see, but I won’t hold my breath that D’s will pass with a VETO proof majority in the Senate, let alone that majority holds when Obama vetos.
