Three people - two Israeli and one Palestinian - have been murdered and another seven wounded on Thursday afternoon in a shooting attack in Gush Etzion region, ten minutes south of Jerusalem.

Of the victims, several are reportedly citizens of the United States.

A critically wounded 18-year-old victim died of his wounds inflicted in the attack shortly after, as did a 50-year-old victim who was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem with bullet wounds in his upper body. He had been classified as very seriously wounded and was unconscious.

A third victim killed in the attack was a Palestinian man in his 40s who had been standing nearby.

Two terrorists involved in the attack have been neutralized; in addition to shooting it appears the attackers used their car as a weapon as well.

One terrorist was reportedly identified as Shadi Arfa, a resident of Hevron. The murderers were neutralized by a religious Border Police officer.

MDA reports the attack began with a shooting spree on cars at Tzomet Gevaot, from where the terrorists then drove to nearby Alon Shevut Junction and ran over at least one other person.

Video from the scene of the attack shows the terrorists being apprehended by security forces.
