If Putin is positioning himself as a defender against jihadism it is because the west vacated that role.
Your analogy also falls flat because the West was actively defending against communism in Europe in the 30s. There was not one communist regime in all of Europe outside of the USSR and Stalin retreated into the USSR and lost the ability or will to export the revolution.
You must be familiar with this
Text of the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact

If Hitler and Stalin signed a pact then it follows Hitler was not claiming to defend the world against communism....

So with your own words you proved my point Hitler was not the defender of Europe against communism. As Germany was losing the war that may have been propaganda angle they were going for to recruit into the SS foreign fighters but that was a day late and a Mark short.
“He is out to destroy the American Republic....IMHO!!!”
I fail to see how anyone could hold any other opinion!
You have a very twisted logic, but that is necessary if you are writing here in support of Putin, that obviously is supporting the treaty with Nazi Germany to grab other parts of Europe.
President Vladimir Putin said on Monday Russian air strikes in Syria would last as long as was necessary to punish those guilty of blowing up a Russian airliner over Egypt last month, an incident in which 224 people were killed.

Russia wants the important parts of Syria ruled by Assad or Assad like loyalists. This way Russia has access to the post and airbase and a buffer state. Russia is there forever now.
Luke 21: 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
Your heartthrob KGB/FSB Putin really misses those days.

"the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the [20th] century" -Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the collapse of the Soviet Union...
"World democratic opinion has yet to realize the alarming implications of President Vladimir Putin's State of the Union speech on April 25, 2005, in which he said that the collapse of the Soviet Union represented the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.'..."
"The more I see and read about Mr. Putin, in power since 1999, and his 'managed democracy,' the more apprehensive I become about the future of Russia and the safety of its neighbors.
If Putin believes that the dissolution of the Soviet Union into 15 independent states represents the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century,' then it follows that Putin might well believe he should do something to repair the loss..."

Are you sure Putin is not your heartthrob? You post more pictures of him than a girl does for her favorite boy band....
Thanks, yes “exit”, sorry for my sloppy spelling.
So Russian op in Syria may end tomorrow or never end at all, depends on when Moscow thinks it has “punished” enough terrorists. You think it will be never, but as you know never say never...
Putin attended a conference of oil exporting countries in Iran, there’s coverage in the Daily Mail.
You’re the sick bastard that has the man crush on the KGB agent, and wants to see him restore the Soviet Union, or something similar to it. If this were my site, I would have booted you and your Putinista comrades off of here a long time ago.
Vladimir Putin's media Svengali who was found dead in DC hotel was 'murdered for being an FBI informant'

You post more pictures of Putin than anyone. Maybe you wish he invades you somehow?
Amen to that, pastor.
