Exactly. But they don't realize it yet. They'll find out next year when they are expecting a nice tax refund and get nothing because of the penalty. That should be about May/June time frame of next year. It'll be right in the middle of the election year and campaign season. Lets hope that Republicans make it very clear that the Democrats are responsible.
Question: is it this year when the full penalty kicks in or next year? Either way, this year's penalty will be significant and, we hope, very painful.
