Like a star football player holding out before training camp, Donald Trump said he may demand CNN pay him to be in next presidential debate.
At a campaign rally in Macon, Georgia, Mr. Trump said he pulls in such big ratings that he deserves $5 million from CNN.
"I won't do the debate unless they pay me 5 million dollars," said the real-estate tycoon worth billions.
Mr. Trump told his audience at the rally, according to CBS News, that the network was treating him unfairly, over its coverage of his meeting with black pastors earlier in the day. He then queried them whether the network should pay him because the ratings spikes, for which he has frequently taken credit, lets the networks charge more for advertising.

If they refuse to pay him, Trump should live-stream his replies to the questions along with commentary on the so-called journalists. He alone would draw more eyes than CNN.
And what if they don’t pay up? Then everyone else is debating issues, and Donald is..?

No downside. If Trump holds out, the libs media gets hurt and Cruz gets more attention. Trump as a no show will not negatively impact his campaign. Might even help it by showing he’s willing to sacrifice and stick to it.
If he goes back on this now however, he’s going to take a small hit.
Well in the speech he said if he does not participate the MSM will say he’s afraid to debate and it could hurt his poll numbers. Probably true. At this point Trump is so close to wrapping this up why commit an unforced error?
He could buy tv time and answer every question asked, as well as comment on the mediator’s bias and underhandedness, and still make money hands over fist.
Was it not CNN who manipulated a tape of Donald to make it look like he was saying something he did not? I think they left out an important sentence.

After the interview with Cruz, Hewitt decided to insult all of us who remember Moslems celebrating in New Jersey after 9-11. He put on a memory expert who was supposed to explain our false memories. This is a not so subtle dig at Trump. As a trained trial attorney, he is using the technique of presenting an expert who will support his stealth anti-Trump meme. All of his guests except Steyn slam Trump. Indeed, guest host ex-Congressman Campbell waxed at length how lousy Trump did at the last debate. I wish someone would be able to give the Trump campaign a heads up so they know about this approach Hewitt us taking. He is up to his old tricks. He didn’t learn anything after the gotchas regarding “Dirkastan”
Another in a long line of reasons why I will not vote for this bum.
I think he was giving the media some ‘fodder’ to see what they will do with it...
