The latest on the mass shooting at a social service facility in San Bernardino, California (all times local):
5:20 p.m.
Two brothers who attended the same Southern California mosque as a gunman who killed 14 people say he was a devout Muslim who showed up to pray every day before he abruptly stopped three weeks ago.
Nizaam Ali and Rahemaan Ali said Thursday that Syed Rizwan Farook had been a constant presence at the mosque for two years and had recently memorized the Quran.
The mosque, Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah, is in San Bernardino, the same city where Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, opened fire at a holiday party Wednesday. They later died in a gunfight with police.
The brothers remember Farook saying last year that he was traveling to Saudi Arabia to get married and that he had met his Pakistani bride online.

I know that Pakistanis have a wide range of “looks”, but she does NOT look Pakistani in the picture I saw of the wife. IMHO she had a more “European” look-—perhaps Turkish or Chechen.

Speaking of officer Madden, I just watched the press conference and if I heard him right, did he say him and another officer arrived almost simultaneously and realized it was an active shooter situation, so I’m assuming he heard gunshots, and then said they waited 2 minutes for 2 other officers and then they decided their entry strategy. I might get yelled at for this but if I heard that right my answer is why? Why would you wait? 2 of you couldn’t have gone in? How many more died because they waited for more officers? Because by the time they went in there were no shooters in there. And hasn’t this been an issue before?
If someone can correct me please do. But if anyone knows if this has been a question of law enforcement before at a mass shooting event if like to know.
We need about a 15 year stopover in solitary at San Quentin on the way back.
Yes, I can correct you. It is training and protocol. You wait two minutes to assemble a 4 man team so you don’t get your ass blown away. What needed to happen was ARMED people in the Christian celebration!! Never bet your life on first responders. Be armed all the time to shoot the BAD GUYS!!
