You’re right. They’re not far from the festivities but I doubt they hear the music. Folks in part of La Quinta get a healthy dose of it. In fact, we’ve sat in our friends yard and heard the show for free.

We had a mosque here that operated very quietly for years inside a Days Inn. Until a local newspaper blew the whistle on them and their Imam fled the country.

I saw an interview with three Mooslimbs at this mosque (IIRC), and they were pissing and moaning about all the "crank calls" and harassment they now had to put up with.
I had all I could do not to throw a brick through the TV.

The guy with the white in his beard at the cair press conference spoke at the memorial for the 9/11 victims that following Friday back in 2001. (read krauthammer's piece on it-it is good). His name is muzzamil siddiq. He was caught by fox news a year earlier chanting "death to America" I remember fox news playing the recording, and Rita Cosby commenting on it. I never saw it again. I even contacted her the night of the san bernadino press conference on twitter, to see if she remembered. You think she would have, and you think that would have been something she would want to remind people of, but I guess I am wrong. I emailed others... nothing.
