Sure, Congress can end abortion by legislation. This Senate, this "Republican" Senate, just defeated an amendment to suspend for 3 months immigration from terrorist states. The vote was 89-10.
The vote on the abortion ban would be 99-1.
I wish "conservatives" would focus on tasks that can be accomplished, like building the wall and deporting aliens.

A number of individual states have attempted to end abortion within their borders, but each time the DOJ has stepped in and forced them to keep the butcher clinics open. I think this approach with a DOJ that does not over-step it's bounds might be more successful than waiting for those worthless, bribe-taking members of congress.

Roe v. Wade is unconstitutional because the Supreme Court declared law, like it did with homosexual marriage.
It does not have that power.
But no one in Congress fought them,a dn it became accepted.
But that does not make it constitutional or legal.
This is by far the most important issue to me. Anything that can be done to lessen the number of abortions is a good thing.
That said I do question whether many in the GOP are willing to solve the issue when, by leaving it out there, they give a segment of the population a reason to vote for them.
