My Mom has never discussed guns with me. I have always felt she was uncomfortable about the idea of them, even though she is a staunch conservative. During a conversation on the phone yesterday, she asked me if I had a permit and all sorts of questions. She is all for people carrying and believes that there would be many lives saved if more of the good guys carried. I do not see my folks ever owning/carrying but it said a lot to me that she is very supportive of people who do.
Somehow, I do not think this was the type of conversation obama wanted.
God Bless your Mom. A great woman who raised a great person. So glad that you guys had that talk. It is cool that she was neutral before but now see the doofus in office and understands the need for guns in America due to idiots wanting to take down the United States.
Get comfortable with your weapon. Learn all the safety
precautions. Do target practice someplace you’re
comfortable. - When my great-great grandfather was
probably your age; he had a family by that time & he
was a lightkeeper on the TN River. He had to carry.
There were some rough people on that river who would have
just as soon rob you and shoot you as to look at you.
- I’m sure you know proper precautions where children
are involved. - Always remember, kids can reach things
even when you think they can’t! - Exercise due diligence.
Kids can always climb up on unexpected things!
