With Donald Trump continuing to dominate the Republican presidential primary field, many of the GOP's senior leaders are beginning to contemplate the down-ballot consequences of having the controversial outsider atop the ticket.
Typically, control of the Senate and House are heavily influenced by the outcome of the presidential contest, and a bruising general election contest between Trump and Democratic frontrunner Hillary Rodham Clinton almost certainly would affect the outcome of some of the congressional races.

Endangered? Because of sea level “ruse” due to glow-bull climate differentiation?
Kirk is a nice man - once my congressman. However, he is very much a liberal, as you have to be in The People’s Republic of Illinois.
He is toast, no matter who wins the Republican nomination.
I don’t see any of those 5 senators worth saving.
So what if the senate goes rat?
Harry Reid is still running the senate anyway.
Toomey ?
I thought he was a democrat...
Gee—I wonder if the GOP-e strategy of crapping on the conservative wing of the base has anything to do with the “endangerment” of these individuals.
So they are counting on Trump not having coattails? I think the opposite would be true. I think he could help republicans in east coast districts and black candidates.
You can add McCain to that list also unless the DemocRATs pull his ‘nads out of the fire again.
It is about the country, not about the careers of nice personalities.
On the Rat side, Bennet is likely toast in Colorado and Dirty Harry is gone in Nevada (finally).
The phrase “most endangered” doesn’t mean that they will lose next November. It just means that it won’t be a landslide for them when the Republicans sweep next year.
I live in OH, but refuse to vote for that POS Portman.
The entire OH is corrupt and disgusting starting with the former LGBT lobbyist they chose to be the party executive.
Should say...entire OH GOP
Ayotte is history.
I think WI is going rat again. It may have something to do with Scott Walker’s attempted run for the GOP nomination. The next governor probably will another rat. The state will become unlivable if that happens. They’ll raise taxes and fees as if they’re not high enough. Forget about attracting private sector jobs. The only people with decent paying jobs will be teachers and civil servants. Basically, the unions will be running the state again.
Dingy Harry is retiring, will that leave Chuck-U Schumer in charge?
If they would get on board with Trump or Cruz there wouldnt be a problem....but they will listen to the consulting class and probably lose. Ef em!
RINOS!!!
“You can add McCain to that list also unless the DemocRATs pull his ânads out of the fire again.”
McCain wins the primary with crossover Dems, then his pals in the other party run token opposition in the general. That’s how they do it here.
What have they done to turn off their supporters?
