There was a guy here in Washington state that kept stabbing his attorneys, with whatever he could find, pencils, pens. In a testament to attorney intelligence, he managed to stab three of them before they stopped working with him.

Though I really disagree with NPR hosts being blatantly leftist and worthy of ridicule, I now feel poorly poking fun of her voice.

This punk was born in 1980 when Carter was President, and Bubba was president when he committed his crime, so naturally it would be Reagan's fault...
And so when I think about the bastards of the Reagan era, when I think about what didn't happen for us, I think we were essentially abandoned by society in large ways, and you can't look at our lives and see that circle of love and care and nurturing around us.
He doesn't realize that society was protecting it's children from him. He was the danger.
I got robbed at gunpoint once when my driver’s side car window was down from just having gone through a McDonald’s Drive-Thru on a balmy day. The exit to the street was behind the building, and there was nobody around that day, until a guy like this guy (only older, maybe 40) stuck an automatic in the window and said, “Gimme yo munny.”
I gave him my money without hesitation and blessed him, speaking kindly to him and he ran off. I went immediately to the precinct police; they posted an inaccurate APB and refused to correct it. I looked at mug shots and didn’t see him so they rode me around the projects (I am a white woman and I was young then). I didn’t see him there, either. I later heard he also robbed the Burger King next to the McD where he robbed me. I got pneumonia from the stress and lost 20 pounds. Easiest diet ever.
He looked like someone who worked for a living, yet got into drugs over his head. He only got $20 from me because it was a Thursday and I was low on cash, as he must have been himself. But it has cost me thousands in all the 25 years since from stress reactions to situations and also from always running the car air conditioner so that I never again have driven anywhere with the car window down, even when I moved far out into the suburbs. Besides the move itself to a higher tax base, there has also been the extra expense of increased mileage from widely skirting various neighborhoods I once bravely sailed on through, believing in the overall low crime stats that existed there in our city, where one of my big clients was the metropolitan police headquarters, working directly with the Commissioner and his staff — a thing that has no influence whatsoever when there is a gun in your face.
That is a gold star recruiting drive for the FSA.

Wow. Sorry you went through all of that.
Both Reagan and Thatcher were blamed for every bad thing that happened during their terms in office. Because (sniff, sniff) those nasty Republicans and Tories just didn't care (sob).
