U.S. House passes bill that would bar people from Iraq, Iran, Syria and Sudan from entering the U.S.

The House overwhelmingly passed legislation on Tuesday (407 to 19) that would overhaul the federal visa waiver program and bar those from Iraq, Syria, Iran and the Sudan, or those who have visited those countries in the last five years, from traveling to the United States without a visa.

Action on the proposal comes in response to the recent attacks in Paris from ISIS operatives, and the shooting in California by a couple that expressed support for the terror group on social media.

"This will help neutralize the threat from foreign terrorists entering our country," House Speaker Paul Ryan said on Tuesday.

Obama doesn’t let Christians from Syria get asylum anyway because Assad doesn’t persecute Christians.

The US limited immigration in past eras of the Republic to keep radicals and anarchists out. They didn’t want East European radicals coming over here engaging in the same revolutionary tactics (throwing bombs and engaging in assassination of public officials) which is what such revolutionaries were doing in Eastern Europe at the time. If that was a logical policy in past eras, why is it not logical now?

We have halted immigration before but I guess the Democrats haven’t read history.

This makes sense.

However, if you travel out of the country a lot, you come to expect that an American passport gets you into most countries without a visa.

I would expect the countries affected and will require Americans to also obtain visa's. It will be interesting to see how the Americans affected (mostly in the oil industry) will react.

Paul Ryan, you idiot, wake up. Visa is not enough. The problem is the refugees. ISIS has infiltrated them and we have no way to detect it.

Yesterday morning this was a quiet back bench idea.

Today the House has passed a bill.

This is why I say that the Trump Administration has already started.

This will be a ‘show vote’, as it won’t go anywhere. None the less, Trump has been vindicated.

January 2017 is getting closer by the day.

Politico: Republicans Concede Donald Trump 'Has a Point' on Muslim Migration Moratorium

From Eliza Collings writing at Politico:

While many in the GOP are fiercely condemning Donald Trump for his proposal to temporarily ban all Muslim from entering the U.S., there's a whole lot of other Republicans who are saying, hey, he has a point.

From established party figures such as

and Rick Santorum to the more hardcore right-wing personalities such as Ann Coulter, numerous Republicans are either stopping short of condemning Trump's audacious proposal or are outright applauding the billionaire businessman as finally offering a commonsense solution to terrorism threats.

They are offering a glimpse into why Trump has continued to zoom ahead in the polls, despite a series of jaw-dropping comments that the many in the media, and now the White House, have presented as not only offensive but disqualifying for the leader of the free world.

Santorum, who is at the bottom of the polls in the GOP race, aligned himself with the man...

...without a visa

Christians should be given visas.

Those claiming to be Christians need to be vetted for those with a "jail house" conversion [Jail Chaplin speak.]

Islam is a death cult. Any of the faithful who reads what’s in that Koran will find they are allowed.....no REQUIRED... to commit heinous acts.

I am sure the majority are civil people but the evil minority is just way to big of a minority for a safe America.
All non natural born citizens need to be shown the door.

Maybe this bill will help but here is a cautionary story I read somewhere recently.

A mid-eastern fellow had his passport taken for some offense. He simply applied for a new one, saying that he had “lost” his. The govt sent him a new one.
