Merkel had already emerged as the indispensable player in managing Europe's serial debt crises; she also led the West's response to Vladimir Putin's creeping theft of Ukraine. But now the prospect of Greek bankruptcy threatened the very existence of the euro zone. The migrant and refugee crisis challenged the principle of open borders. And finally, the carnage in Paris revived the reflex to slam doors, build walls and trust no one.
Each time Merkel stepped in....

I had Time Magazine name me in an Eco hit piece in an earth day issue in the late 90s. All it did for them was drive traffic to Off-Road.com and make us more popular.
And they totally hosed the article’s ‘Facts....I was shocked ;)
TIME is another faithful member of the media cabal trying to weaken Western society from within. And yet, I somewhat agree with their choice.
Angela Merkel is an unraveling disaster. She’s introduced policies (killing their first-rate nuclear industry, huge immigration, pandering to Russia) that have seriously compromised her country’s future. This year, we got to see some of the long-term effects of her idiocy, and it was pretty scary. So yes, she could be deserving of Person of the Year, in the same way Hitler was in 1938.
A failure in domestic and international currents. He is after Obama’s lacking.
