"One day after his call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, Trump defended his plan to Barbara Walters on ABC News and in a series of tweets."

Love it. They take the bait every time. He will not back down, and his statements are made with care. It is like watching trench works being cleared.

Trump has started negotiating and the fools have no clue...
He’s going in asking for the absolute max. When he gives a bit, the other side things they’ve one.
So in the case of “NO muslims allowed in”, the critics will come back and say, you can’t do that, what about diplomats we’re negotiating with, or military people that are helping us fight? OK, says Trump, we’ll let them in, but everyone else has to stay away. The other side thinks they won and everybody is happy, especially Trump.

Calling it back would be a mistake and he shouldn’t anyway.
He’s right on this.

He said he has 'tremendous relationships' with many Muslims who completely agree with him on this issue. So how many of those would be stuck in the country because they couldn't re-enter if they travelled abroad?

U.S. Code, Title 8, Chapter 12, Subchapter II, Part II, § 1182 - Inadmissible aliens
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1182
(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate. Whenever the Attorney General finds that a commercial airline has failed to comply with regulations of the Attorney General relating to requirements of airlines for the detection of fraudulent documents used by passengers traveling to the United States (including the training of personnel in such detection), the Attorney General may suspend the entry of some or all aliens transported to the United States by such airline.
According to this, not only is the President NOT doing his job, but the Attorney General is not either

Mr. Trump is as "right as rain."
If an individual cannot see that he is erring on the side of caution for the benefit of America and its legal citizens, then you might need your head examined, or even a lobotomy.
No one is saying you have to vote for him.. only that his heart and his convictions rest in a LOVE of America.
