Earlier this week, The Intercept published a 166-page document outlining the government's guidelines for placing people on an expansive network of terror watch lists, including the no-fly list. In their report, Jeremy Scahill and Ryan Devereaux highlighted the extremely vague and loosely defined criteria developed by 19 federal agencies, supposedly to fight terrorism.
Using these criteria, government officials have secretly characterized an unknown number of individuals as threats or potential threats to national security. In 2013 alone, 468,749 watch-list nominations were submitted to the National Counterterrorism Center. It rejected only 1 percent of the recommendations.

Liberals love the idea of keeping guns out of the hands of people on a secret government list that any bureaucrat can add to for no reason and there is no legal recourse to get your name off it.

I sent in my name way back when Obama has his “fishy” list and asked people to turn in anyone they thought didn’t fit the mold. Name, address, phone number and a statement in no uncertain terms that I agreed with nothing he stands for. I’m sure they still have it.
So the government created an enemies list and gave it a misleading name. Standard procedure.

So whole categories of individuals could be added. Obama could declare every member of GOA or the NRA is a potential threat, for instance. Tyrants would love this provision.
Yup and no notice sent to you that you’ve been “selected/nominated”.
You can bet the house, boat, wife, children, family, dog, money and all other worldly goods that any FReeper who expresses Conservative views is on the list.
My niece is on a watch list from when she was returning from a vacation in Cuba back around 2000 and was busted by customs at the Windsor/Detroit tunnel for smuggling a box of Cuban cigars........LOL!

other than the huge problem of too many of those in DC being corrupt, anti-American and purely evil, there are those tens of thousands underlings who serve those in DC by carrying out the establishment’s anti-Americanism by abandoning their oaths of loyalty and to serve and protect our Constitution and the American people. Without them, those in DC would be void. The patriotic people must never forget the human debris who have the gall to call themselves Americans who work in and under the federal government that have betrayed their oath and committed treason against their country and its people.
No judge. No jury. No due process. No Constitution. Just because they say so...and they have the nerve to call this the “land of the free”?
I found out last night I got the boot from the WaPo forums. I have no idea why, but I would imagine involved some perceived offense against some lefty. Which probably also means I’ve been reported to any number of alphabet soup agencies, and am on the watchlists now.
