It is not fear of terrorism that drives people to Trump, but, the fear of not doing anything against terrorism that drives people to Trump.
They haven't a clue that Trump's rise is because he speaks the Truth that pisses the Left off, doesn't apologize or back down from their rhetoric and speaks common sense when others stick to the suicidal PC-meme.
