Early....It was like the third test flight. Dual hydraulic failure. It turned out to be one of the problematic systems on the aircraft for it’s entire existence.

That obnoxious, self righteous liberal prick was like a rectal fissure on the rump of the Senate. Him and his so-called 'Golden Fleece Award' was nothing but a gimmick to get him face time on the tube and in the newspapers. It was thanks to Proxmire that America's supersonic transport program was canceled, and if someone had asked me if I gave a tinker's damn that the miserable sad sack died 10 years ago this coming Tuesday, most people can figure out the answer.
