MIAMI (CBS12) -- A flight from Paris is being held on the tarmac at Miami International Airport due to a suspicious item.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating the item on board American Airlines flight 63 from Paris.
There are 214 people on board.
The search by the bomb squad is not impacting other operations at the airport. The plane has been moved to a remote area of the airport for the investigation, according to Miami-Dade Aviation Department Communications Director Greg Chin.
My favorite kinds of Americans.
The country so nice they named us twice.
And they they can fly too!
You people stay on board....while we wait and see what suspicious item might be on board!!
Franco-Americans and Spaghettio's hardest hit..
From Paris too =)
Funny typo.
So this plane has flown from Paris to Miami, and now it’s being detained? That sounds slightly strange...you’d think they’d want the folks off that plane in the event of a “suspicious package.”
Baguette
Last time I flew into London, they parked us (the plane) way out in a bunker. It was after 911. They took us to the terminal in buses. I wonder if they still do that.
American Americans? As opposed to UNAMERICAN Americans?............
I wonder if there were African Amerricans
This is probably happening a lot these days.
Flight 63 is the same flight that was involved in a failed bombing attempt about 14 years ago.
On Dec. 22, 2001, Richard Reid tried and failed to detonate plastic explosives hidden in his shoes aboard the Miami-bound flight.http://www.sun-sentinel.com/local/miami-dade/fl-miami-bomb-squad-investigate-american-airlines-flight-story.html
Amazing. Good memory you have.
The same idiot who is responsible for us having to take our shoes off to fly...
Well I think it is important, at this point, to differentiate between Americans and American jihadis.
