I know what they should do. Let the decent, non-violent Moslems who want to be good US citizens denounce Islamic violence of any kind, be it against other Moslems, Jews, Christians, Kurds, Hindus, etc., and say that they will not follow Sharia Law in the U.S.

That would be a major step in their declaration of Americanism.

Also, they could renounce all the violent admonitions in the Quran and Hadith that promote, as an Islamic duty, violence against the “dhimmis”, the establishment of an Islamic Caliphate over the world, and state that they are now Americans, not Islamic jihadism promoters with swords or words.

I would also like decent Moslems like Zuddi Jasser, to explain the “good” parts of the Quran, the ones that promote understanding and non-violence, respect, tolerance, and human decency.

The Quran is very hard to read so I want people who do read it and try to live by it, to tell us what they have chosen out of it to in order to live a decent, non-violence life in the U.S.

Knowing these features could be what is needed to be promoted among Moslems around the world in order to defeat the Islamic jihadist clerics in the thousands of anti-Western Madrassas around the world.

Only good Moslems can tell us what is the “good” in the Quran because they will be the ones trying to live that way of life.

There are many decent, hardworking Moslems in the US, and in our military (my son had nothing but praise for the young American Moslem soldiers in their Engineering Company in the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom, who, speaking Arabic, defused problem confrontations between US troops and Iraq citizens).

The question is how to separate the peaceful “wheat” from the harmful “chaff”. By having our Moslem citizens speak out about the peaceful elements of Islam that they live by, we will begin to understand the intricacies of Islam as a religion, ideological movement, etc.

It is a proven theory...the best way to deal with this is to jump off a cliff!

You DON’T belong. At least not HERE. There are plenty of windswept, dust-blown hellholes you can pollute, where your brother barbarians will welcome you with open arms (a little TOO open if you catch my meaning ...). And unless you like to listen to music or fly a kite or shave or treat women like human beings or resist beheading children or raping goats, you’ll be accepted into their community. Sure, you might be asked to blow yourself up in the name of Allah, but hey, how big a price is that for the warmth and camaraderie of your fellow savages?

PS: By the way, I know that this LA Times piece is a tear-jerker cover-up piece about what American Moslems or even non-American Moslems might or do face in the US during their daily lives.

It is saying that all white Americans are racists, anti-Moslem Islamaphobes who wear white sheets and hoods, burn down Mosques, and attack Moslem women on the street. (Oh, that’s ISIS and the Taliban. I’m sorry. NOT).

I suspect that many American Moslems don’t face these problems at all and some are now finally speaking out against the biased media (when was the last time you read Zuddi Jasser interviewed in the NY Times, Wash. Post, or LA Times, or Brigitte Gabriel, of Walid Shoebat. Only Ali Hirshi gets some coverage but she is hated by the Marxist Left and the MSA/CAIR jihadists).

Once we get rid of the idea that Sharia Law, the establishment of a worldwide Caliphate, and total violence in the name of Islam is the way to go, then we will have made a major step forward in extending the concepts of tolerance and respect for hundreds of millions of people, if not more than that.

It’s gonna be a long time coming but we have to start somewhere, and American Moslems can be leaders in this effort to bring internal peace to a too often violence-based religion.

What should we do about the suspicion, about the hatred, about the second glances and the threat of confrontations on the street?

Renounce Islam.

Become a follower of Christ.

“What should we do about Donald Trump and his rhetorical attacks on Muslim immigrants?”

I don’t believe for a second that any of them asked a question with the word “rhetorical” in it.

What should we do, Imam Zaid? What should we do about the suspicion, about the hatred, about the second glances and the threat of confrontations on the street?

What should we do about Donald Trump and his rhetorical attacks on Muslim immigrants? And how do we process the deadly attacks by people who invoked our religion? Should we return to our ancestral home countries, hunker down in the shadows?

Convert to Christianity?

The reason there is, and will continue to be a backlash against ISLAM is because they still have not dealt with the 1400+ year reign of terror which continues to be a center-point, if not driving force of their political-religious belief system. It is their apparently impossible responsibility to make it the religion of peace.

Denouncing the terrorists in their midst is a step in the right direction. But action would do more to improve their image. Find the terrorists. Root them out. Turn them in. And, if necessary, stop them yourselves. Let Muslims be known more for throwing their bodies between the terrorists and the innocent than for being terrorists.

If that’s too hard, get the hell out of here.

Imam Guido
