Trump is no Reagan. Reagan's growth from Democrat to Republican took place over an extended period of time. Reagan did an awful lot of work in the conservative movement before running for office. Before Reagan ran, there was a long and extensive record of public speeches revealing Reagan's political beliefs and a track record of his support for and efforts on behalf of solid conservative candidates. None of which can be said about Trump.
Trump has no political record. He says that himself, that he’s been a politician for a few months. His kids and executives are in a position to run his business now so he’s free to run. For more read post 167.
