surveys by ABC News/Washington Post and CBS News/New York Times show that the drop in support for a nationwide ban in so-called âassault weaponsâ mirrors the general decline in support for gun control that has been observed in the last couple of decades (here and here). The average of the two surveys weighted by the number of people surveyed shows that 6.9% more people oppose a national ban than support it. See also here.

Of course they do. Some Americans my be slow to notice, but many are starting to notice how vulnerable we are and how impossible of a task it is for “authorities” (government) to protect the populace. More are understanding not onlty is it our right, but our duty and responsibility, too.
So I have to paint my AR15 pink, then it’s ok?
“Assault weapons”
That ABC/WP poll was especially ugly for the antis. Its actually 18-29 year olds that are fueling the shift against the AWB. That holds true to past trends I’ve seen in other polls, too, and its why I think the far-left is getting so obviously desperate on this issue. If they’re going to pass an AWB, its now or never and they know it.
That group, in the years ahead, will shift on homosexuality, too. Give truth and harsh reality some time to work on their souls...
Consider the sponsor/audience. Means nothing to me.
TC
Obama, all democrats, the MSM from newspapers to all cable news except FOX, favor gun control.... And STILL the people get the word out by talking to neighbors and friends and WE ARE WINNING.
That’s how little power the press has... we can stand up to them and still NOT buy ink by the train load. Truth has a way... a powerful way. Liberal elite lies don’t work anymore.
Ya think? Everybody already owns one or four of them. That dog is never gonna hunt again.
They don’t need to worry about what “most Americans” think.
They need to worry about what the “assault weapons” owners think, and what the people they fantasize are going to go after them think.
