Former GOP Rep. Joe Walsh: U.S. at beginning of third American revolution
examiner.com ^ | December 20, 2015

Posted on 12/21/2015 9:31:06 AM PST by 11th_VA

On Sunday, The Blaze reported that former Rep. Joe Walsh, R-Ill., said the GOP is on the cusp of a revolution and the third American revolution has begun. He also warned that the "revolution" could get violent.

"I think that we've begun a third American revolution," he told The Blaze. "I think people who recoil against both parties and believe in freedom are finally rising up. They're angry -I mean, look at [Republican frontrunner Donald] Trump - and they want to do something about it. I think we're at the beginning of this, and I think you're going to see it play out in the Republican Party because there could be a split in the Republican Party."

Walsh said that conservatives, Tea Party members and grassroots activists need to start by cleansing the GOP. If that fails, he said, a new political party or movement could be on the horizon. Many grassroots activists -- those Walsh refers to as "revolutionaries" -- are extremely upset with the Party, especially after the GOP-led Congress gave President Obama everything he wanted in a recent budget deal.

...

"Remember, revolution is a scary term. It implies violence; it implies open rebellion. People shouldn't be afraid because initially we're going to use the political system in this revolt to try to fight back."

"It's not going to get violent at first, but look, the two prior revolutions we had got violent - the American Revolution and the Civil War," he added. "Our founders believed that it may take violence to take back our country every now and then."

Yeah I agree there is a lot of bravado from a certain bunch of FRers. When push comes to shove, many are going to be quaking in their collective basements. They are so fond of posting stories about lone patriotic shooters with a hand gun taking out the bad guys - they are still living in the early 20th century.

I haven’t had a call since I told them to LISTEN. Then the guy goes into “robot mode”, reading off his script. I then yelled “LISTEN!That’s why people are angry; you refuse to LISTEN”. He hung up.

Well put.

The animosity against Trump shows he’s the candidate to support.

I like Cruz but he can’t self fund. The GOPe would never hand him a dollar and he’d die on the vine.

Remember both McCain AND Romney suspended their campaigns? Who the heck told them to do that weeks before the election?

We’re in a banana republic. We need our own monkey!

16th, Fed. Res. Act THEN 17th.

Starve the beast first. It’s much easier to stuff back into the battle when it’s emaciated /s

Can you name one Amendment, aside from quartering, that ISN’T hanging by a thread? Anything that DOESN’T require govt permission, some fee/tax/toll?

Did not We the People elect (R) into all 3 houses in the past decade? We got BIGGER govt, faster (TSA, DHS, NSA, NCLB...). Did we not sweep Congress this past election? And what did We get? Nada...we get to foot another bill for the big $$ donators (PP, exec. amnesty, Ex-Im Bank).

Even our States, per your definition, are no longer ‘free govt’ entities (NY, CA, IL..).

How many MORE of these peaceful attempts before We finally decide enough is enough? Or, do We too wait until the herding onto the box-cars to finally attempt to break the shackles We allowed to be placed?

Repeal and replace the 14th -— end birthright citizenship for children born to persons illegally within this Country, and CLEARLY spell out the legal and binding definition of “natural born citizen” once and for all.

“There isn’t a fireman, cop, hands-on plumber, or carpenter in this country that has built an Apple, US Steel, or 3M.”

No. We just make your engineering f*** ups work out here in the field with the customer breathing down our necks.

Spare me the “high and mighty” engineering hero bullshit.

Is that why I see two cruisers these days making routine traffic stops? Is that why I see five or six engines sitting idle during fires with as many crews getting weekend double-time yucking it up while prisoners do the real work?

Spare me the "high and mighty" engineering hero bullshit

Shall I start with all the "craftsman" work I've had to redo, some of which almost got people killed?

I don not send any money to the RNC, ever. I send 3 dollars to the DNC every couple of years. It keeps me on their mailing list and costs them more than $3 a year, I am sure. And I get invited to their biennial election local barbecues which they do better than the Republicans. I also get a pretty good idea who is up. I am a registered Democrat since about 1979 when my wife and I flipped a dime to determine which of us would be the R and which the D. I even voted for a Democrat once for school superintendent. He is the only one in this county in the 37 years I have been paying attention to have had an entire term with NO scandal and no unexplained money losses. He also refused to take new federal grants which was unheard of hereabouts.+ This was a 90% Democrat county and region in 1978 and is 80 or so % Republican now of the party affiliated folks. There are a lot of disaffiliating Republicans.

Civil War rebellion didnt work in the 1860's

and it sure will not work now.

the only way it could get any traction at all and be considered anything more than a "Terrorist insurrection" that would last a few months and fizzle would be if all branches of the military united to remove the entire government political body with a plan in place to re-structure the government and return it to the people.

so it aint gonna happen.....ever

To resort to violence is to take on the enemy on their own turf. They have overwhelming force and will smash resistance before it occurs, which is happening now. The days of flintlock v. flintlock are long gone

But okay, I'll go along. Tell me what happens after the victorious Freeper Army sweeps aside the forces of evil.

Moral equivalence much?? /s To paraphrase: Die where one stands vs. slave on the knee

Overwhelming? Guerrilla warfare worked well at our Founding, I don’t see why the same would not be a benefit this time around. Not sure that better hardware will STAY in the hands of the opposition (let alone, I’d suspect, some air-drops from some previously-not-so-friendlies).

I’d compare it to much of our M.E. conflict of today: small groups, easily mixed into the local pop, pop of growing approval and they’ve been keeping things ‘lively’ for the last 1/2 century.

Now, as for after the ‘win’: I’d hope their ducks would be in a row LONG before the 1st bullet; and stick to their guns (excuse the pun).

No matter HOW it may happen, IMO, it’s long past due for a reboot. “We hold these truths to be self evident....” needs more TEETH this go ‘round; they (lawyers/judges/politicians didn’t seem to get the plain English the LAST time)

You mean aside from hanging the lawyers, judges, politicians and collaborators? Selling off the ill usurped property of the once Fascist govts in D.C. and the States?

How ‘bout tossing out every known regulation and law and start again with a simple reading of the English language.

***

Course, I’m interested to hear how the war goes with those ‘working within’ and ‘holding feet to the fire’....Seems to be just DANDY, reading the last ‘budget’ just passed.

Might have JUST seem a sheen of sweat on the collective forehead of Congress as they worry about the ‘will of the People’ and losing their seat of power. I’m sure ANY day now the Law will be faithfully enforced and executed and they’ll turn away from their unconstitutional actions to restore the Rights, Liberty and Freedom of We the People.
