I'm 66 years old. Although I've been stopped about half a dozen times by cops for driving violations, I've never been shot by a cop.

In fact the cops were uniformly polite except for one. None of my friends, family members, relatives, co-workers have ever been shot by cops.

Where is this place where people other than criminals are getting shot by cops on a regular basis?

“Where is this place where people other than criminals are getting shot by cops on a regular basis?”

Well right here in the San Ramon Valley of Contra Costa County, California.
Case #1: Danville cops found a guy sleeping in a car in a gas station. When they rousted him he (24 years oid) went for his glove compartment, so they fired 21 rounds, hitting him 12 times. Nothing in the glovebox. but when I spoke with the PD about it the chief said that the officers were “scared.”
Case #2: A woman, fearing that her friend in San Ramon was suicidal, called the local PD to check on her. The woman let them in and then ran to her kitchen and picked up a knife. The cops shot her to death. She was Asian and about 90 lb. The cops tell everyone that it was simply a case of “suicide by cop.” If that’s the case, why was it the friend’s phone call that brought them to her door?
Case#3: A Danville cop recently wen to jail along with a local PI and a female divorce lawyer. The three of them were setting up divorcing husbands by using floozies to entice the men into getting drunk at a local watering hole with the prospect of a follow on hot tub party. When the men would leave, the PI would call the cop who would make the arrests.
The only good news is that since that episode, San Ramon has fired the Contra Costa County Sheriff, who was staffing and running their PD, and now they have their own force. Sadly, Danville still uses the Sheriff!
So I am still of the opinion that cops place little value on human life, and they are fine with criminal activity so long as there is a financial benefit to them personally.

Any questions?
