Paul Ryan's Christmas Warning: American Companies Will Shut Down Without More Foreign Workers
Breitbart ^ | December 23, 2015 | Julia Hahn

Posted on 12/24/2015 5:35:22 AM PST by maggief

In a Tuesday morning interview with radio host Bill Bennett, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)56% defended his omnibus bill's controversial expansion in the H-2B visa program, which would allow foreign workers to fill blue-collar American jobs, by arguing that if the provision were not included, American companies would be forced to shut their doors.

Bennett pressed Ryan on the details of the H-2B visa expansion, slipped 700-pages into Ryan's 2,009-page omnibus spending bill-asking Ryan directly, "Do you believe there are not enough Americans to fill these jobs?"

In response, Ryan described the H-2B visa expansion as "a very small, discrete provision."

Despite the nation's high levels of unemployment and stagnating wages, Ryan continued on to assert, without offering evidence in support of his claim, that corporations are facing a shortage of labor, which rendered the provision necessary. Ryan said:

The reason that this was passed is because there was some seasonal surge jobs that they can't find local workers to fill, like the seafood packaging industry in Chesapeake Bay. You have seafood season, you need people to package those things, to can them. In the North, we have the summer tourism industry. What it is is there's seasonal industries where they can't find local people to do the jobs: kids are already in college or things like that where you have a surge in workers.

With our actual unemployment rate at over 10 percent, we have the people but need jobs. Ryan is a huge disappointment.

95 million Americans out of work, a 20 plus percent U6 UE rate, lowest labor participation rate in over 30 years.

And this Cheap Labor Express Maggot tells us this lie?

What a POS.

Answer: NUKE THE MINIMUM WAGE.

Minimum wage (forced wage controls) kills jobs, kills domestic business, and kills value to the consumer.

Always has, always will.

Dear Representative Ryan:

The US will assuredly collapse into the trash heap of failed civilizations if backstabbers such as you aren't removed from office.

Cut out the foodstamps and tax credits and they would have plenty if people wanting to work....or starve! But he is a liberal and that never crosses his mind.

This is no surprise.
Ryan has been pro-immigration, legal & illegal forever.
He has no connection to the situation of the average working American citizen.

On the Wisconsin Board a few weeks ago, somebody asked about the Congressman who once described how long it takess to co-opt a Congressman once he arrives in DC. His answer was “about 2 weeks”.

I have a friend who has a better explanation. She says that upon arrival in Peru (and I have no idea whether this is true), tourists are given a drink to help them “deal with the altitude”. It’s some kind of tea which (she says) is laced with cocaine. I wonder if they serve it to incoming Congresses in DC?

Ryan is insulting and can’t keep his incendiary opinions to himself!
Can’t he be Cantor-ized?

Replace him with David Bratt!

Paul Ryan is bought and paid for by the chamber of commerce.

It is pure nonsense that workers cannot be found already here in America.

Better to get rid of the illegals first before you cut off welfare benefits - so there will be jobs for them to take, especially for lower skilled workers.

Otherwise most unscrupulous employers will hire an illegal over an American every time for lower skilled work.
