“If you haven’t yet done so, read Ladislas Farago’s biography, Patton: Ordeal and Triumph (1963). Best book on Patton I’ve read, and the one upon which much of the 1970 movie was based.

Thank you for the info re Patton. I went to Amazon, and there is a Kindle edition of the book. I bookmarked the page, and after the holidays are over, will purchase it. Will make for good reading during the doldrums of January, when IL, where I live, plunges into a deep freeze of darkness and gloom.
