Huckster, Paul, Santorum are next.
I don’t think Pataki or Gilmore are doing anything, or spending any money, so they can ride it out for awhile, although I don’t see why they would bother.
Christie, Fiorina and Carson will then battle it out, hoping to advance one of them to the top level, being Trump and Cruz.
Don’t know about that, his PACs are running adds against Cruz in IA and he has been supportive of Trump and avoided saying anything negative about him. He may just go off quietly hoping to get a plum assignment in a new administration.
What matters is when will they bring in Romney ‘officially’ to replace the fallen Bush/Rubio last hope?
Because they will. And then run him with Hillary as a unity ticket to get all the moderates in both party on board and achieve a mathematical superiority in voter numbers.
The claim will be “To heal the bitterly divided nation” and they will sell it on the fact that 60,000,000 Republicans voted for him last time.

For what ever reason, he has been complimentary of Trump. We’ve already pointed out that he’s been quite critical of CRuz.
Again, only Huck knows who he’d endorse. We’ve just provided his recent statements.
Never thought highly of Huck - too slick by half. Not as bad as Ark. Clinton, but one who enjoyed the sermon with no substantial basis. Agree, might have believed it was his turn, being a Good Wino and all, but he was never a major contender with only a few of faith behind him. The *preachers* seen on TV always asking for OPM are kin to him. He has a guitar - he should begin a career in using it Bit by bit the riffraff is being cast aside.

Huck backed up Trump several times at the debates. I suspect he will again.

The lower tier is no longer running for the presidency. They are busy packaging a brand...their own. Their own name and image.
This will enable them to make lots of loot in the future, paid speeches, paid authorship of articles, paid appearances at ribbon-cuttings, paid authorship of books, paid speeches at large and small business and organization events and conventions, paid commericial endorsements....etc., etc., and so forth.
This is why most of these losers will stay in to the end so they can remain in the public eye through any remaining debates and scads of interviews on TV and radio talk shows.
The bitter-clingers are busily solidifying their personal brands as we type.

Huckabee and Santorum are hangers-on. They run on shoestring budgets, so they will probably be around for a while.
Kasich was responding to an interview question about his low poll numbers a couple of weeks ago. He said that no one knew who he was and that way why his numbers were so low. That was after 4 debates. John, if they don’t know you after 4 national debates, they won’t know you when they start voting.
Fiorina and Bush are using the excuse that they are fine with their current positions in the race. [Shades of leading from behind come to mind.]
It will be interesting to see which stragglers the FoxNews debate allows, and whether FoxNews alters the requirements again to get another one or two participants in the main debate.
Both Huckabee and Paul have hinted that they may drop out soon.
If Pataki drops out, like Gramnesty, few will even notice.
Fiorina thinks her claim to fame is that she is the only candidate who can go against Hillary. Fiorina’s large slip in the polls since the 2nd debate show she is not the candidate-of-choice.
Didn’t FioRINO tell a few staffers (when she was ‘advising’ the Romney campaign) that she’d actually support Hellary, if she weren’t working for Romney? I seem to recall a post/thread about that, here.
I think Huck will stick around through Iowa while his pacs are airing ads in Iowa.

Huckabee was never rewarded for his efforts in 2008 with a position in the McCain administration. His thinly veiled efforts to help Trump at Cruz’s expense are not putting my doubts about the front runner to rest. Huckabee’s mean-spirited, dishonest campaign tactics have worn thin with Iowa Evangelicals. He is just burning through his remaining money and good will.

The way I understand it is that Jeb is still sitting on a lot of money and his consultants get paid more $ by him spending that money. Jeb can’t leave the race until his consultants get paid. He has to spend that money.
It would sure seem that way. Again, only Huck knows :)
