I'm with the Washington Post on this one.

The first foreigner to make it to the White House, and Hawaii won't honor that distinction?

We FR members 'honor' him with that 'distinction' all the time. We even recognize him as the first Muslim president.

The people of Hawaii are such ingrates.

Here’s an idea, name the digester out at the Honolulu Sewage Treatment Plant after Obola. After all they are both full of the same stuff!

I modestly suggest that he Hawaiians rename the ‘Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill’ to ‘Barack Hussein Obama Sanitary Landfill’. That way, whenever it’s time for them to make a trip to throw out their trash, they can be reminded of Fearless Leader Barack. The decaying stench of the landfill can also remind them of Obama’s “accomplishments”.

I think that would be a great thing to do, change the name from porta potties to Obamma potties.

We lived in Hawaii and, for the most part, the state is a US-hating socialist area (the reason we left). With that in mind, it is odd that nothing has been named after Hussein, and no statue has been built, yet. I’m sure it will happen in time. And, it would defile the beautiful Hawaiian landscape. Maybe they’ll erect a sign in front of his favorite pakalolo field.
