The end of the year brings another entry into the Trump won't win oeuvre (of which I am not only a connoisseur but also contributor). The interesting twist is that the latest warning storms ahead for the tyrant of Trump Tower come from a (possibly disgruntled) former campaign aide.
Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg, who started consulting with Trump in 2011, joined him full time in 2014 and got sacked shortly after Trump got into the race because of a series of racist Facebook posts, shared his concerns about the Trump trajectory with The Daily Beast's Tim Mak.
Falling poll numbers in the first key states, a lack so far of reserved advertising, a low net favorability and underperformance in the college-educated voting bloc that dominates the early presidential contests -- all these contribute to a darkening forecast for the Trump campaign, Nunberg argued.

Why even post it?
Robert Schlesinger is one of those liberal idiots that Cruz supporters claim love Trump. How can he write this about his favorite politician/brother?
This guy has no more idea that all the talking heads on tv. They’ve already postulated that if he loses Iowa, yada yada. Trump’s favorability numbers have come up substantially. And why would he pour cash into advertising when he has double-digit leads everywhere?
WTH difference does it make if Trump loses in Iowa?
It’s not like it has a good track record predicting the final winner.
I think another factor that is often overlooked is that if a candidate didn’t win Iowa or New Hampshire, their donor money dried up, and they were forced from the race. Trump seems to be immune from that problem, so winning those races may not be as life-or-death for him as they would be for some other candiidate in years gone by.
Thanks for posting it. I appreciate it.

Nunberg:
“Iâ
‘m not upset at all with Mr. Trump,” he said. “In fact, it was so gracious of Mr. Trump to even take a couple days to think about this. If you would think about anybody else, the relationship I had with him and what he thinks of my ability, the fact that he took more than an hour or 15 minutes ... I should have resigned immediately and it would have let this episode just stop.”
He added, “What I would say, talking about Sharpton’s daughter is what got me fired. Mr. Sharpton has forgiven me. He has also commended Mr. Trump for firing me.”
And with a laugh: “Life is so strange. Fired by Mr. Trump. Forgiven by Rev. Sharpton.”
The radio host questioned the concept of Trump firing anyone at this point.
Nunberg wasn’t having it.
“Any candidate can fire anyone for anything,” he said. “I’m not going to question Mr. Trump. I want to say how much I respect him, how I hope he’s the nominee...

Thanks.
So he posts FLAME BAIT threads.
I have noticed on FR, that Trump supporters do not make a habit of posting threads disparaging Cruz. OTOH Cruz supporters keep posting disparaging threads about Trump.
That makes it obvious that Cruz supporters are getting desperate. Cruz is leading in only ONE state, Iowa! 1/50 is a good reason to be desperate with first primaries less than 5 weeks away.
And the also invade, as a horde, to trash, bash, and impugn on GOOD Trump threads; especially the happy rally ones.
They're a strange bunch.
:D
