Politico reports that President Obama's upcoming executive gun control will force a number of private gun sellers to get their Federal Firearms License (FFL) and perform background checks on every gun sold.

According to Politico, "Obama will tighten the definition of what it means to be 'engaged in the business' of firearms sales." Currently, those who sell firearms with the "principal objective of livelihood and profit" must have an FFL. Those selling as hobby or those who sell occasionally from a private collection do not. Obama plans to change the language so that those who sell as a hobby will be placed under the same heading as those who sell for a living.

And gun transfers between private individuals will still take place in spite of Obama’s edict.

I imagine this will go immediately to Federal Court, an injunction will prevent it’s enforcement, and Obama will be gone by the time the appeals start.

The British could not enforce their gun ban at Lexington and Concord. Obama will find that real Americans will not commit suicide by letting him gut the Second Amendment by decree. Any Congress person who does not vote for a law nullifying such an atrocity should be voted out in the New Year. This is line in the sand.

The Fed’s won’t care about that black market transaction per se.
It’s when someone subsequently tries to register the transaction for a gun which “missed” intermediate transactions, last known owner being different from current seller, that a solid case can be made against multiple people.

Obtaining a Federal Firearms License is not so easy to do or many people would already have one.
Typical liberal unconstitutional back door legislating.
Demand you have a license or permit to engage in constitutional activity.
Then make it very difficult if not impossible to get a license or permit.
This is exactly what they have done in Washington, DC and Chicago to circumvent the constitutional right of citizens to have a firearm.
And that is exactly what Emperor Obama is trying to do to the nation.
Will the spineless slugs who call themselves republicans fight him on this?

No it won’t. Every firearm seller I’ve ever seen on an Internet site requires that the firearm be shipped to an FFL holder. The buyer is then required to complete a Form 4473 and be approved through NICS.
This will drive small time local transactions underground where fedzilla will not find them.
All but one of my firearms were purchased private sale. None of those are registered. The one I purchased over the counter was a shotgun I bought for $179. I won’t even surrender that one!
