Also, without someone she can claim as a serious challenger the networks would have no justification to give Hillary free air time for their pretend debates.

I think Bernie is serious in his run for the nomination. He is THE true believer of leftist nonsense. He has adopted Reagan’s 11th commandment for Democrats. He has plenty of ammo to use against Hillary but will not because he truly wants to spew the leftist agenda and thinks that is what the country wants and needs and is the only thing he wants to talk about.

The far left loves Bernie and hates Hillary. By being a nice guy (even if he is the grumpy commie) he thinks that he can persuade voters to his side. His strategy may be working. He is close to Hillary in Iowa and is beating the snot out of her in New Hampshire. Hillary’s biggest problem right now isn’t the Republicans — it is beating Sanders.
