I doubt it. Obama would want victims of white shooters with legal guns. Like Sandy Hook.

low information masses now think Obama is keeping gang banging felons fresh out of prison from ordering on the internet a fully automatic US Army issue field weapon.

Good point.

During a Thanksgiving discussion of "assault weapons" among liberals and conservatives, I mentioned that full auto weapons have been illegal since the days of Al Capone. Everyone's jaws dropped. They thought I was crazy.

I want to know where these websites are, that a weapon of any kind may be purchased online.

It may be possible to contact a gun shop online, but the purchase cannot be concluded until the buyer PHYSICALLY shows up at the gun seller’s shop, goes through the database scan of his history, including any possible criminal activity in the past or medical conditions that are now basis for prohibition of any firearm purchase, and emerges with no evidence of any specific reason to deny the conclusion of the purchase.

That is really quite a few hoops to jump through already, and in by far the vast majority of instances, screens out the potential troublemakers and obvious red flags.

A few, a very few, leak past even the most sophisticated scanning system, and sometimes we do have legally obtained weapons used in a most unlawful manner. But just about every one of these instances, the target of the assault proved to be a “gun-free zone”.

Eliminate the “gun-free zones”, or at least the signs posted designating such a locality, and degree of uncertainty it introduces to the would-be assailant all but eliminates the “lone-wolf” type assaults.

"A violent felon can buy the exact same weapon over the internet with no background check, no questions asked."

Only if the idiots at BATF allowed him to get an FFL.

“While several presidential hopefuls have already indicated they would repeal the Obama’s executive actions if elected, the GOA-endorsed candidate, Ted Cruz, has promised to erase Obama’s gun control legacy.”

Looks like GOA has endorsed Cruz for POTUS.

I have NEVER seen and opportunity to buy a firearm online w/o NICS except muzzle loaders and pre-1898 firearms, and I’m going out on a limb here, I bet none of Obama’s sons in the inner city (where our lopsided crimes statistics originate) ghettos use muzzle loaders and antique guns in commission of their chosen criminal professions.

He’s evil, dishonest and destructive Communist intent upon damaging this country as much as he can, while he can. Also, he’s abysmally ignorant, and not intelligent.

There, fixed it for you.

Not completely. He's a sodomite, a communist, and a mohammedan; he's evil, dishonest, destructive, and intent on replacing these United States of America with the islamic caliphate.

“...I mentioned that full auto weapons have been illegal since the days of Al Capone. Everyone’s jaws dropped. They thought I was crazy.”

Uh, you’re not quite correct. I understand where you were/are coming from, but it is usually best to be 100% factually correct when debating an issue. Here are the facts:

From 1934 (when the National Firearms Act was signed into law) until May 16, 1986, any person who acquired the appropriate tax stamp from the BATF (or one of its legal predecessors) could obtain a brand-spanking-new full auto firearm (or a used one, if that’s what they wanted). The tax stamp cost $200 (prohibitive in 1934 for the average person, not so much later on), and you also had to pass a background check and get your local chief LEO to approve.

From May 17, 1986 to the present, you can still get a full auto firearm in the same manner, but not one manufactured after May 16, 1986 (IOW, the supply was frozen as of the end of that day).

The approximate number of full autos in the hands of “civilians” (or, more properly, citizens) is 200,000. They are perfectly legal. FYI, I believe that only one such weapon, in the last 81+ years, was used in the commission of a crime, and that by an off-duty police officer (so much for them being more law-abiding than average citizens).

Practically speaking, you are correct - most people (even shooters) never even SEE a full auto in person, let alone fire it, let alone own it. But it IS legal to own one (just expensive and requiring that you cut through a bunch of red tape).

That all being said, I want our rights restored: 82 years ago and before, you could walk into a store that sold firearms, plunk down the purchase price, and walk out with a full auto - no questions asked. THAT is liberty, the liberty that the Founding Fathers bequeathed to us.

We could go on for hours like this...too bad we are saddled with this miscreant, this low-life scum, for another year, 14 days, 20 hours and approximately 26 minutes. But at least Trump or Cruz will reverse a lot of the damage this jerk has done.

Full auto weapons are not illegal, just heavily licensed.
