An inert U.S. Hellfire missile sent to Europe for training purposes was wrongly shipped from there to Cuba in 2014, said people familiar with the matter, a loss of sensitive military technology that ranks among the worst-known incidents of its kind.

The unintended delivery of the missile to Cuba has confounded investigators and experts who work in a regulatory system designed to prevent precisely such equipment from falling into the wrong hands, said those familiar with the matter.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

I remember when I had a project working with a well known seeker, it had to be transported here in the US using a government approved dromedary carrier. Each compartment on the truck was individual and heavily sealed and locked.

As for foreign munitions (even inert), I’d assume that somebody like DHL was the contract carrier as they were the ones that had a lot of munitions fly-ins to Afghanistan, etc. (from what my SIL told me who worked for DHL at the time).

This seems to me like there is still a bunch of Bill Clinton’s Third Wayers scattered around - this modern communist doctrine states that if every one had the same mil tech, then no one will use the tech. Therefore, the party with the most advanced tech (or the most arms) needs to create parity by giving the weaker party the tech (or more weapons). Now the situation is between equal parties on ‘a level playing field’.

And so the NK acquired the makings of a nuclear bomb, and China acquired ICBM guidance, quiet sub tech and much more.

Expect more of this sort of trade if and when Hillary or Sanders is elected. It’s not that these people hate the USA so much, it is rather they believe so strongly in such doctrines that they are incapable of seeing any outcome other than the fantasy one they believe in.

How does he do it? Agency after agency after agency says it’s a surprise that the normal protections have been disabled and whistleblowers silenced, while Obama has illegally fired whatever inspectors general were actually doing their jobs. It’s not an accident, it’s not SNAFU, it’s not incompetence. It is deliberate infiltration by the enemy which then conducts war against the US from INSIDE THE BUILDING.

There is information about this very kind of infiltration and crooked use of federal, state, and media agencies that could blow people away, if they were only willing to listen. But for now, stories like this make perfect sense as they appear one after the other, when you understand just how badly the entire system has been infiltrated and taken hostage.
