To an extent, sure. But you're telling me they will be akin to the backroom deals made by the uniparty today? Can you promise me that those sent to represent the 'right' side of the issues won't cave?

Let's say they did cave - can you imagine 38 states voting to approve? Remember, they would be proposing amendments to the Constitution, and each separate amendment would have to be ratified by 3/4 of the states. So let's say they all got together and colluded to submit an amendment to repeal the 2nd Amendment - do you think there is ANY chance of them getting 38 states to go along?

I do, actually. Only slightly, but again, there is always that chance. Do you really want to take that chance, given current climate? Just for a second, let's say we see an anti-2nd Amendment proposal and a pro-term limits proposal go to the states. 38 states, as you point out, need to ratify, which means they will debate the issues. Out of those 38, how many will, as mentioned previously, cave to the pressure of, well, if you won't support this, then we won't support that? Are you seriously promising there is ZERO chance that an anti-2nd Amendment proposal WON'T get ratified by 38 states and, again, do you even want to begin by risking that? If so, then I say we get what we deserve.
